This is Wensley Guthrie. Wensley is a 20-year-old junior here at Texas State with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish. Wensley was originally born here in San Marcos and moved to Austin in second grade. During her time in San Marcos, she went to school and church where the sanctuary lofts are now located. Wensley came to Texas State for a few reasons. One was because this is where she was originally born and also both of her parents attended Texas State. This is where her parents met, her Dad was in Kappa Sigma Fraternity and her Mom was a cheerleader.
Wensley is currently a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and has two jobs including Lake Travis Zipline Adventures and High Profile Promotions Inc. where she works sales. Wensley’s hobbies and interests include her dog, exploring the hill country, tanning, hunting and dancing. She actually tried out for the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader team this summer and loved the experience. One of her favorite memories from the tryout was seeing all the behind the scenes action. In the future Wensley plans to travel all over the world, but would like to keep Austin as her home base. She wants to have a profession in the Mass Communication field where she can interact with others.
