Get to Know Chris Soliz

by Holly Henrichsen

Chris Soliz is a 21-year-old junior at Texas State University. Originally from Mesquite, Texas, Chris moved to San Marcos, Texas in 2013 to pursue a degree in music at Texas State. After spending some time in school, he decided that he no longer wanted to major in music. Chris knew that he wanted to work in television so he switched his major to Mass Communication with an emphasis in Electronic Media and a minor in theater, which he is currently studying. Once Chris graduates, he hopes to move to the New York City area and work on a TV show where he can be a writer and actor.

In his spare time, Chris likes to hang out with friends and enjoys watching shows like "The Office." He loves
watching DVD commentary on how directors and producers create their shows. Chris is also a part of the Bobcat Marching Band at Texas State and has played the saxophone for 10 years. Chris enjoys all genres of music and will listen to everything from Top 40 Hits to movie soundtracks. Chris grew up in a family that had small dogs so he hopes to change it up and have a large dog one day; his dream dog would be a German Shepard - Husky mix. He has never broken a bone and prefers Coca-Cola over Dr. Pepper.
