Dezmond Moore is a 20-year-old junior at Texas State earning a degree in
Mass Communications with an emphasis on Public Relations and a minor in
Communications Studies; he is currently a second year RA at Tower Hall. He was
born in Frederick, Maryland and has lived in Austin since he was 10. He
graduated from Akins High School in Austin. Dezmond’s Mother and Father are
deaf, so he is fluent in American Sign Language. He has a younger brother and
sister, who are three and six years old. His dream job is to be become a
superhero, but provided that doesn’t work out he hopes to work in the PR
department of a professional sports team. His favorite sports teams are the
Washington Redskins and San Antonio Spurs. A fan of MMA fighter Jon Jones, he
himself is an aspiring MMA fighter with three fights already under his belt.
His nickname is Spider-Monkey, in homage to his favorite superhero Spider-Man.
Dezmond’s favorite musical artists are Kanye West and Tyler the Creator. He is
an avid fan of Pluckers. After he graduates, Dezmond hopes to star on the CBS
reality game show Big Brother, of which he’s a big fan.
