Identifying the Source: Father of future Texas State student.

Question 1: What is your opinion about the soon-to-be Texas law that allows guns to be carried onto a college campus by anyone with a concealed handgun permit?

"Not on campus for students. Those who want to should have to have had background checks through the campus."


Question 2: While some other states have a similar law, do you think all states should permit guns on college campuses?

"No, tolerance for situations like gun safety should be dealt with by each campus."

Question 3: Why should or why shouldn't guns be permitted on college campuses?

"Anyone could make a bad situation if they were permitted to carry guns. When guns are allowed on campus for those other than extra security or University Police, it could be harmful to others."

Question 1: What is your opinion about the soon-to-be Texas law that allows guns to be carried onto a college campus by anyone with a concealed handgun permit?

"I don't think it is a good idea because safety is a concerning issue."

Question 2: While some others states have a similar law, do you think states should permit guns on college campuses?

"Yes, it would improve safety hazards."

Question 3: Why should or why shouldn't guns be permitted on college campuses?

"With all the events and functions that Texas State has, people could be in danger and should protect themselves."
