Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Kiersten is
absolutely in love with her college choice. This is her second year at Texas
State, where she is majoring in electronic media with a communication studies
minor. Kiersten is a Sports Reporter/Sports Announcer & a social media content
contributor for the Texas State University radio station KTSW 89.9 After three
semesters at the radio station, she absolutely loves her job.
Her weekend usually consists of going to Texas State athletic games and live tweeting for the teams.

She hopes to pursue a career in the sports field and hopes
to get sports internships before graduation.
Growing up as an only child, Kiersten’s first memories were watching Green Bay Packer football and Notre Dame games with her dad. Her dad showed her the love of sports as she developed those common interests. Her best childhood memories consist of watching quarterback Brett Favre throw hail marys at Lambeau field and visiting Notre Dame.
Something interesting about Kiersten, is that for four years working at Hollister Co. clothing company she saved up to treat herself for a trip to Europe. She went to Germany, Italy, France, Austria and Switzerland. Her absolute favorite part was standing in awe of the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria Germany, which was the inspiration for Walt Disney’s castle in Disney World. Along her trip in Europe, she was able to visit Paris and climb the Eiffel Tower at night watching the beautiful skyline. Riding the gondola in Venice also was a surreal moment for her time abroad. Kiersten hopes that everyone can travel abroad someday and see the magnificent world.

Kiersten is a simple girl who simply loves surrounding
herself with loving friends and family who enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
A perfect day for Kiersten can consist of sipping a cup of coffee while
listening to Coldplay and Hillsong United at a local San Marcos coffee shop. On
a hot day in Texas, Kiersten enjoys the beauty that God created in San Marcos
by jumping into the river or soaking up the sun.
Kiersten, is a driven, passionate and hard worker who is
determined to make a name for herself in the sports world.
Her favorite verse that keeps her going is Jeremiah 29:11, “For
I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”
