Roy is a 23-year-old student at Texas State University, where he studies advertising. He also has a completed minor in business administration.

Roy’s academic journey initially took him to the University of Texas at Austin, where he studied chemical engineering for two years. It was then that he realized that he wanted to work in a creative field and not spend all his time locked up in a laboratory. He studied advertising at UT-Austin briefly before deciding to transfer in the fall of 2014.

After graduation, he plans to pursue work at a digital agency working either in strategy or web development. He would love to return to Austin and work there but is very open to relocating to a city like Chicago or Seattle.

Moving to San Marcos was a drastic change, considering that it is the smallest town Roy has ever lived in. However, he has come to appreciate the town and its unique hangout spots. He still ventures back to Austin on some weekends however, usually to tour a breweries or catch a live music show with friends.

Roy is also an avid fan of the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns.
