After earning her Associates degree at Tyler Junior College, Janiece Walker transferred to Texas State University in the fall of 2014.

As an advertising major, Janiece hopes to help businesses discover the benefits of advertising through social media and other digital outlets. She says she would eventually like to end up working in a large city such as Seattle or New York City.

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, Janiece intends to spend at least a year traveling and enjoying life as a young adult. She would like to travel to Europe and across the United States.

Janiece has held several jobs including being a nanny and waitressing. She currently works as a cashier at McCoy’s Building Supply in San Marcos, Texas.

Originally from Tyler, Texas, Janiece has moved a total of seventeen times before landing in New Braunfels, Texas. She is easy-going, and loves to help people. She has been on several mission trips to various locations such as Chicago and a Native American reservation in New Mexico. Janiece hopes to continue her mission work throughout her life.

In her spare time, Janiece can be found kayaking the rivers in the Hill Country area. She also enjoys horseback riding, painting, and listening to music.
