About Jacob Cox
Jacob Ryan Cox was
born outside of Abilene, Texas, in 1994, and grew up in Marble Falls, Texas.
Cox is a fitness and outdoors junky; his favorite hobbies include working out
at the gym, playing any type of sport, and surfing at the coast whenever an
opportunity presents itself.
Education
After graduating
from Marble Falls High School, Cox spent his first two years of college
studying at the University of Texas, Austin. Cox transferred from UT in the
fall of 2014 to study advertising and business administration at Texas State
University. This spring, Cox entered his senior year of college, and hopes to
graduate a semester early in December 2015.
Work
A very driven
young man, Cox has worked as a manager for the Horseshoe Bay Resort's yacht club,
an intern for his church in Marble Falls, and as a sales intern for the Austin
Radio Network. Currently, Cox is an account executive for Aces Media Solutions,
an adverting agency based in Austin, Texas. Following graduation, Cox is
determined to pursue a job in media sales somewhere in Texas, and is hoping to
further his education by attending graduate school at UT.
Volunteer and Mission Work
Cox enjoys doing
mission work in Kenya and impoverished parts of the United States, where he can help in small-scale building projects and look after orphans. He is very
involved in local ministries. While attending UT, Cox served a leadership role
at the Baptist Student Ministry; at Texas State, Cox participates in weekly small-group meetings as a part of Cross Talk
