Raised primarily in Killeen, Texas, Sarah began her collegiate career at Texas State in the fall of 2013.  She is an aspirer of all sorts and loves God, her family, her friends, penguins, poetry, film, and all things Texas.

With her education, she hopes to manage social media networks for various companies.  After she graduates with her bachelor’s degree in May 2016, Sarah intends to stay in Texas to remain close to her family and continue to write poetry.

Sarah is currently employed with Chartwells Concessions at Texas State.  She works at the various sporting events Texas State hosts including football, basketball, track, baseball, softball, and cheerleading.  Sarah is also a contributor to an international online web magazine called WildSpice, which serves as an additional outlet for her freelance poetry.

As a military dependent, Sarah has the desire to travel the whole world and to write all along the way.  She has lived abroad in Germany and has traveled all throughout Europe.  Sarah hopes to visit New York City again in the near future and dreams of travelling to India.

Sarah is an active member of the national Catholic sorority, Mu Epsilon Theta.  She currently serves as the sorority’s advisor liaison and webmaster.  Sarah is also very involved in the Catholic community at Texas State’s parish, Our Lady of Wisdom.  She has attended and staffed a self-sufficient Catholic retreat put on by Catholic students called Bobcat Awakening.

Sarah has also danced in the Filipino folk dance group, Cultura Filipinana, which is based in her hometown for almost 13 years.  By learning the intricate and beautiful folk dances of her heritage, she has gained a deeper appreciation for cultures all around the world.
