Rene Anthony Barboza was born August 19, 1988. He grew up in
San Marcos, Texas then moved to Fallbrook, California for three years. When he
moved back to San Marcos, Texas he attended San Marcos High School Rattlers.
After graduation he attended Blinn College for baseball. He enjoyed playing
with the team and travelling all over Texas as well as out of state. Barboza
had to retire from the team due to, “too many injuries and having a bad wrist,”
Barboza told repoter Kaylin King. After Blinn College Baseball Barboza is now
at Texas State University back in his home town of San Marcos, Texas. At Texas
State University he is studying Public Relations Buisness Administration. For
his major he has completed a sales internship in Indiana where he would sell
education to lower income counties. The education he was selling ranged from
pre-school all the way through high school. When Barboza isn’t in class you can
most likely find him at Sewell playing volleyball with his friends, on the
river kayaking or serving tables at Garcia’s or Herbet’s. In Barboza’s down
time he likes watching scary movies and driving around in the car he saved up
for himself a Jeep Patriot. Barboza is excited for his semester in Media
Writing and looks forward to his career in Mass Communication.
