Interview by Marco Lozano



Luke Garza is a business senior at Texas State University. Garza identifies himself as a Latino American from Brownsville, Texas. 21-year-old Garza is a male who currently lives in San Marcos, Texas.

Marco: "Luke, the University has a record enrollment of 35,568 students this year. How has this increased enrollment affected you?"

Luke: "It is much harder to make it to class on time especially because of how crowed all of the busses are."

Marco: "Should the university continue to grow?"

Luke: "Growth in the university is a good thing because it adds to the amount of diversity in the student body."

Marco: "Did the size of the university influence your decision to come here?"

Luke: "The size of the university did not influence me to attend Texas State. It was the amount of family I had in the surrounding area."

Marco: "What is your favorite thing about being a Texas State Student?"

Luke: "I love being so close to the river!"





Amanda Garcia is a psychology senior at Texas State University who is also a Latino American from McCallan, Texas. 21-year-old Garcia is a pizza delivery girl at Domino's Pizza in San Marcos Texas where she currently lives.

Marco: "Amanda, the University has a record enrollment of 35,568 students this year. How has this increased enrollment affected you?"

Amanda: "There is so much construction everywhere and so many apartment complexes have gone up within the last year. This has affected the river in a negative way."

Marco: "Should the university continue to grow?"

Amanda: "Growth in the number of students at the university is a good thing, however, it will take some time to get use to the amount of rapid change."

Marco: "Did the size of the university influence your decision to come here?"

Amanda: "No, I wanted to attend Texas State since I was 8-years-old."

Marco: "What is your favorite thing about being a Texas State Student?"

Amanda: "Hanging out at the river!"
